Inner Magic

Aaaaaw yeah. I LOVE summer. A painting a day? Yes please.

So this is DawnSpark...basically me as a pony. I actually have been wanting to draw this for a while, but couldn't find a way to do it. I am a really big fan of the idea that magic must be discovered, I don't really like it when people just have magic to begin with. I think the discovery is part of the "magic of it all" Anyway this is a young filly DawnSpark finding out that horn on her head isn't just good for stabbing things (in a friendly non lethal sort of way)

For a long part of my life, I kept waiting for someone or something to bring magic into my life. It wasn't until recently I really discovered that magic really has to come from within first, before you can see it everywhere else.

Blah blah blah sappy statements anywho I know I write the longest descriptions ever, but if you are a fan of my AMVs you know I looooove to explain all the aspects of them. And no one is making you read this anyway. I really liked some of the stuff I figured out in this painting. I took a lot of the stuff I learned from painting Glados, and tried to apply it here, which worked nicely. I took some tips from a certain pony friend of mine for awesome manes and line work, and then I added in some stuff that I thought looked cool. All and All I really like this. I think this is the first painting I have done this summer that is a step in a direction I want to go in, both in the way I draw ponies and the way I paint. I don't know if I will be keeping the eye style though, kind of mixed.
